Is everyone staying warm out there? I think Texas is having an identity crisis because it’s been cold. Too cold for Texas. We’ve had snow and ice more than once this year. I’ve been stuck in the house because I’m one of those Texans that can’t drive in any of the aforementioned conditions. If you’re also cooped up at home, this is the perfect time to check the first installment of my store feature series!
About Feature Friday
Instead of just telling you what I’ve found in my search for tall clothing and attaching pics of the clothes, Feature Friday will also tell you a little bit about more about the creator as well as a little behind the scenes info of the store. Sounds good? Good!
The first installment is going to Chelsea and her store Legs for Days. If you know of any stores you would like to get more info from, let me know or get them to fill out this questionnaire so they can be featured too.
How tall are you?
6 foot 3
Does your store have a physical location? Where is it located? Or where is your online store based? Do you offer international shipping?
The store is only online we are based out of Miami fl and yes we offer international shipping
When did you start your store/blog?
We launched in July 2017
What inspired you to start your tall fashion store/blog?
Being 6 foot 3 you can image shopping is a struggle when consistently trying to find clothes that actually fit my body type correctly and that are flattering. I usually run into the issue of the clothes being too short so most of my dresses look like shirts after a few washes, or I’m constantly pulling my dress down after every step. nothing every fits my torso correctly nor are the sleeves long enough. And yes there are some tall clothing lines that cater to women with longer limbs but many of the pieces are so dull or they cost an arm and a leg, also most leaned more toward a conservative look which is fine but I wanted to wear more fashion forward beauty trends that were feature on sites like boohoo, Fashion Nova, and Forever 21, so I thought to myself why can’t I? so the birth of LFD (Legs For Days) was born…
Tell us about your store (if you have one). Give info on inseams lengths, anything that will make your store stand out.
July 2017 we started with the official launch of LFD with a small summer look book collection called “The Ocean Drive Collection” featuring some summer must haves like maxi dresses, tropical 2 piece sets, and rompers. Shortly after that did a follow-up collection called “All Body/Full Body” that featured high-waisted bell bottom pants and jump suits. (All pants sets have 37 inseam)
What do you love about your store/blog? What are your challenges?
Being a new clothing line I believe that we are still trying to find our footing and platform not even being one year old yet we know who our target market is but it’s just making sure we deliver the looks that can be appealing to both age groups the young party girl as well as the business women and mom. what I love most about LFD is the looks we are not only looking to present fresh new trends but also recreate replicas of popular fashion styles that we normally wouldn’t be able to wear do to the length and fit. Not to mention the price range that we present is reasonable.
What do you think about our options in tall fashion now compared to when you were growing up?
I love the fact that so many tall women are taking it upon themselves to provide a lane and market for tall fashion because not all women are only 5 foot 5… I’m sure every female over 5’11 can relate to having to roll their jeans pants up into capris lol
Do you read tall blogs? Who are your favorites and why?
Yes I follow a few The Tall Society, The Tall District, Sydney_InTheCity, Vertically Chic are some that I follow.
Anything else you would like to share? Maybe share something funny or interesting about yourself.
