I was contacted by Long Tall Sally to try out their clothes and give my opinion. I’ve never worn anything from them before so I was excited to try them out for the first time.
I got the Stripe T Shirt Maxi Dress. I have really been into stripes lately and this dress did not disappoint. It’s long, it is made out of a t shirt material so it is light and cool. Perfect for these hot Texas summers.
Next I chose the Embellished Hi Low Tunic. I got so many compliments from this shirt. It would look best with skinny jeans or even leggings.
Believe it or not, I also got the Crop Jeans. Many of you know that I am sometimes vocal about my hatred of crop jeans, capris, etc. I decided I needed to try them and I must say that I really, really like them. I ordered a size 12 and they’re a bit loose in the waist so I don’t know if LTS sizes run a little big or if I got smaller. Either way, I was very comfortable in them. I thought I would be in a corner somewhere sweating and shaking while having flashbacks of high school high waters but I didn’t. I caught myself doing my model walk several times during the day. I’m thinking of wearing these with the Hi Low Tunic.
The Essential Suit Jacket is everything I have ever wanted and more when I need a jacket for work. It fitted around my waist to show my silhouette and the sleeves are long. No more having to alter sleeves to make them longer.
I also got the Broderie Dress (coral). This dress is beautiful. Very girly and perfect for date night. I do have to say that it is a little thin so it will be necessary to make sure you have a slip on under it. It is also long enough for our bodies and I didn’t have to worry about accidentally showing off any girly parts.
The Jersey Full Length Skirt (navy) actually touches the ground with my heels on. When I wore it to work it kept getting caught in the wheels of my chair. Some might say that would be annoying but I loved every minute of it. I was like “You silly skirt, why are you in the wheels again? Awww, you are just too cute! Let me help you outta there.”
And finally, I got the Scarf Print Maxi Dress. This dress is by far my favorite! I’ve said a couple of times how I usually don’t go for colorful items but I loved this dress. Once again, the length did not disappoint. I like the pattern, I don’t know what it is but something about it really appeals to me. It comes with a thin belt that goes to my waist instead of right under my bosom (do people still say bosom?).
So there you have it! I must say that I am pleased with all of the selections. I felt like a mean girl while trying to figure the negatives of the items while wearing them but I couldn’t find anything… yet. I’ve seen a lot of people say that LTS clothes are pricey. I agree that they are, but after trying out their clothes it seems like they are worth the investment. *I’ll give you another update on how they hold up after wash day.
Thank you Long Tall Sally for this opportunity!
*Update: It’s been about three months now and the clothes are still holding up strong. The quality is still great in my opinion.
